Animal & Equine

In partnership with Eccles Sixth Form College, our Animal and Equine courses have been designed to offer a strong sector-related emphasis on practical skills development. Our equine students will study at Ryders Farm Equestrian Centre, which was established in 1993 and has since expanded to cover almost 60 acres of land and house 52 horses and ponies. Animal management students will study at Eccles Sixth Form College, which has recently undertaken significant development via millions of pounds of investment to ensure that our facilities are state-of-the-art.

The Animal Management Department houses over 250 different species, including both domestic and exotic animals. This gives our students access to a diverse selection of birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, and fish to enhance their curriculum. Some of the exciting new additions include common marmosets, white naped cranes, capybara, striped skunks and many more.
