Health & Social Care
These courses are designed to cover a range of topics, providing you with the knowledge and skills required for a career or further study in the healthcare or social care industry. You will benefit from your teachers having a wide range of expertise and specialisms. You will complete mandatory work experience at level 3 with a minimum of 100 hours in a range of health and social care settings.

Following on from working in the industry, Donna started teaching at Worsley College. |
![]() | Michelle Jones Teacher of Health and Social Care Michelle started her career as a qualified nurse working in different hospital settings. After gaining a BSc (Hons) in Biological sciences she worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a clinical trials coordinator and a medical information officer. Michelle has has worked at the college for many years teaching across a wide range of Health and Social Care courses. |
![]() | Claire Vincent Teacher of Health and Social Care Claire was a PE teacher in a secondary school in Blackburn for 13 years, before moving to Worsley College in February of 2019 to teach Passport to College. In September of 2019, Claire became a teacher of the level 2 and 3 Health & Social Care, with her specialism being in Anatomy and Physiology. |
![]() | Laura Mack Teacher of Health and Social Care Laura has studied Psychology and Criminology at University, graduated from Lancaster University and also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Education. Laura has industry experience working for the Police investigating public protection crimes against the most vulnerable members of society. |
